Refunds
How money goes back to the sender, and what can't be undone.
Last updated 21 October 2026. This is a plain-language summary written for a prototype; it is not legal advice.
1. Unclaimed payments return automatically
A payment that nobody claims becomes refundable 30 days after it was created. The sender signs the refund and the full amount returns — no claim fee is charged on a refund, and only the Solana network fee is spent. Nothing needs to be requested; the payment link shows when a refund becomes available.
2. Claimed payments cannot be reversed
Once a recipient claims, the transfer is final. A claim releases funds to a wallet whose ownership was proven by signature, so no operator can pull it back — that is the point of the design. If you sent SOL to the wrong person, the only path is to ask them to send it back.
3. Deposits that never landed
If a deposit transaction isn't confirmed on-chain, nothing is marked paid and nothing is charged. A failed or dropped transaction costs you only the network fee you already paid to your wallet.
4. Mistaken identity
Payments are written against the recipient's permanent X user ID at the moment you sent them, so a renamed account can't intercept a payment and a reclaimed username can't either. If you believe a payment went to an account that was impersonating someone, report it with the payment link and the X account involved.
5. How to ask
Send the payment link and what went wrong to the X account shown in the footer. Because this build runs on a test network with no real funds, a refund here means nothing moves — the policy is written for the version that eventually handles real SOL.
6. Fees
Claim fees are 1% of a payment and are only taken when a claim completes. Refunds carry no fee. Network fees are paid to the Solana network, not to HANDLE, and are not recoverable.
